Bitcoin sites consuming to much power, a news.

Postby anil02 » 06 Jul 2019, 09:13

At present many of us are using bitcoin site to earn. Yesterday I read in news paper that because of these sites consumption of power increased in some countries. Peoples are using mining site for it and they are using their computers for 10-12 hours in a day. What is your opinion on it?

I do not use a computer for mining, I guess it needs a stronger computer for that. To be honest, I've never tried it, because I'm simply not well informed

I too don't using computer for mining. Indeed mining slow down internet speed. Some countries feeling that bit coin miners are consuming too much power.

Well, it's insufficient to use a computer to mine Bitcoin. Well, I tried it once for a while and hardly got anything after 30 minutes. Unless your computer got really high computing power its not recommended. On top of that, you are ruining your cpu by mining bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency.

Bare in mind that it takes a lot of energy to run the fiat currency. Energy is required to power banks, manufacture fiat currency/dispose of it, secure it and to power banking systems and Visa’s and Mastercards networks etc to process transactions amongst other things. While people are critical of Bitcoin mining, it is not replacing a green and energy lite infrastructure like many people think.

Of course 30 minutes mining will bring you almost anything. Your Computer must work days, 24 hours so you can have something.

It is not possible for me to keep my computer open for 24 hours. So I am not interesting in mining sites.

yeah and it uses graphics cards for the operations, ironically, so in order to mine you have to get your hands on the best GPU you can get your hands on, and those things are costly at the high end.
