Hello Kim, I hope you get to see this discussion 50 to 100 years from now.

Postby Netherrealmer » 27 Jul 2019, 21:29

In a thread a created days ago, I made a post about mind uploading. Its a technology where your consciousness will be uploaded in a sandbox videogame like world when you died so you can continue living virtually. I can imagine that virtual world will start as a city, then it will become a country, a planet or even a solar system open world sandbox your consciousness can explore.

Kim Souzzi was a 23 year old college girl who was dying of cancer and she knows there is like 2 percent cryonics can bring her back to life so she agreed to cryonized her head so when the mind upload technology becomes a thing she will be resurrected.

I decided to make this thread because I know once the time Kim gets revived she will google things about herself and I want her to read this thread just in case forumcoin still exist a century or 2 for now. If I will be on my deathbed, I will consider cryonics too but I do not want to be revived on a flesh and blood body nor a robotic body. I want to be in an open world sandbox virtual world. Kim if you are reading this 100 years from now, Lets hang out so I can tell you all the events you missed since you passed. We can hang out on Virtual Mars and meet up with the other people who gets converted into cookies.

I think virtual heaven will the best way to give people immortality without giving the earth overpopulation.

Sorry, but I don't get it. Does this mean that humans will see themselves in a virtual or gaming world after they die or what? You haven't clarified what this actually means. Does this mean that people will experience and actually live in virtual or gaming world after they die?

Its not a videogame but it will be like being on a videogame because you will have a virtual body that can roam around that virtual world. So you can have a house to live on and there will be places where you can meet up with people. You can communicate with the living via the internet.

They raised a lot of money for it but I saw where some Scientists were debating the possibility of the whole thing. Anyhow her boyfriend stayed true in handling his portion of the matter after her death.

I think in case of Kim, she rather have that 2 percent chance than zero at all. Oh there is also Nectomy. Its a company where they will harvest your brain while you are alive so they can preserve it. Then scan it digitally once the technology to upload consciousness is finally finished.

Yes, she at least made it clear what her desires were. And since the funds came through if this ever comes to fruition, her hope was not in vain. That harvesting brain is having difficulties being registered in mine, hmm. I've never heard of Nectomy. Are you going to write about them? I'll research it anyway just in case you don't.

Haha! This sounds awesomely scary. I would want that too when I am about to die. We can create our own virtual heaven where you know you won't die again.

The question is the digital version of our self is actually us is it just a copy. I mean 2 versions of you can live together digitally. But yeah Whether we cease to exist to die, or we reincarnate or go to heaven or hell, At least there is a version of us who lives in digital paradise.

I watched the Nectome one you shared. It fried my brain, thanks, lol. I think it will be better understood when you write about it in a simple fashion.

Watch San Junipero in Netflix. Its a stand alone story that shows how mind upload works.

Its the summary of it:

Also we can choose an avatar of what we want to look like. We can be an image of what we look like what when we died, or a healthy young in our prime version or be the person you fantasized to be. Let's say a person who died skinny as a twig, can be resurrected into an attractive physically fit hottie.

No more need for plastic surgery if you are digital
