Go to an actual news site and your screen will freeze because of the data being consumed by all these ads and autoplaying videos. You visited the site to read an article but that article is hard to read because the ads and videos consumes your internet data and even your computer ram.



They really want me to focus on the ads because the scroll is disabled, I want to scroll up to read the stinking article but I cant for few minutes because of this ocean of ads.

Why don't you just let me read the article in peace. Yes you can have ads but not thousands of them being prioritized by my internet speed over the piece of literature I want to read. The fake news on social media does not consume data, ram and where easier to access.

to add more insult to injury those annoying pop ups asking me to download their app and subscribe to their stinking site.

It's like you're being held hostage on your own device. With all the freezing and random videos setting off from all angles, could they possibly expect anyone to come back for some more of that? Pshh... I run away from sites behaving like that and still they won't chase me to prefer any questionable news stories via social media or elsewhere. Some sources manage to present their ads in a respectful manner and still remain credible.

Sadly this practice of legit news site is what kills them. If they don't want people to prefer fake news, make their sites accessible. Don't allow video ads and disable the scroll so people's eyes will be stuck on the ads.

This is so true. I also hate how this ads pop up whenever I want to access the news. So I just prefer watching the news on TV for I don't usually believe news on social media easily.

Legit news sites kills themselves for being too greedy with ads. Video ads on a site for reading articles should be illegal, you are there to read and not to watch an annoying video.
