Capcom might sue steam

Postby Netherrealmer » 03 Aug 2019, 10:38

Capcom is planning to release the trailer of Street Fighter V DLC characters at the Grand finals of the Evo tournament. Steam one of the provider of the pc version of Street Fighter V accidentally leaked the trailers of E.Honda,Poison and Lucia. They are suppose to release those videos at the Grand finals of a tournament and Steam released the trailers way too early.

LOL at the Steam apologizing to fans of the game and not the company they messed up.

I heard Capcom is so upset because they are preparing a live presentation for this trailer. I heard a Steam employee got fired for the mistake of releasing a trailer way too early.

I heard Capcom will be forced to make a 4th dlc character so they will have something to hype on EVO.

Yoshinori Ono creator of Street Fighter wont attend evo because the early leaks ruined his plans.

Things like this one can happen. Especially when are involved several companies...
However this controversy could be positive for them :) because of this episode people are talking about the event, the game and are expecting for news and new developments of the situation.
I always loved street fighter. This is a good game :)

Wow yeah when you work with gaming companies even game testers are not allowed to leak.
or even talk about games they test until they are released.

LOL, maybe they tried to apologize but they were ordered to go humiliate themselves before the fans instead. Oh no, I feel for Ono but all I can hear is that mischievous voice asking, "why so serious?" These things will happen still, especially now when everyone is so anxious to be the first to share what they know.

and this leak kinda ruins the hype. Now they will have nothing to show to evo. Unless they have something under their sleeves.

Maybe they release it on purpose earlier. Some use that trick already.

Nope not a trick, Capcom indeed didn't show anything at EVO. Tekken and Samurai showdown took advantage of this early leak and have something to present.
