Social Media: Facebook: Obscene Phone Call

Postby cmoneyspinner » 03 Aug 2019, 21:44

This is sick!

I got my first "obscene phone call" on Facebook last night.

That's what I call it. I'm old school.

Here's what happened.

My Facebook account is signed in. I always sign in while I'm working on my computer and click on the tab off and on while working on other tasks.

As always ... I mind my own business and I don't mess with other people!

I NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER USE VIDEO CHAT.

I don't even know HOW. :?

So I'm working on my laptop. It's late at night. This Video Chat thingamabob pops up. It says Accept or Decline.

Since I don't really know the person, I click Decline.

The darn thing kept popping up!!

It turns out it was some pervert trying to show me a porn video.

Been on Facebook about 10 years.

My first time ever getting an "Incoming Video Chat".

My first time and it's a frigging obscene pervert!!

I am so ticked off!

I click on whatever buttons say BLOCK.

I click the buttons and the darn video pops up again.

Finally I click IGNORE and it disappears.

By this time I am really aggravated.

I try to DISABLE the video chat feature in Facebook Messenger and I can't figure out how to do it! :x :x

DOES ANYBODY KNOW HOW TO DISABLE THE VIDEO CHAT FEATURE IN FACEBOOK MESSENGER?

Good that it didn't happen in an office setup or a public place.

Oh that would be the worse, if it happened in an office setting.

Coming to the original question, do the following to make sure your video chats are disabled

Click Gear Icon on the right side of the Facebook page in the Facebook Friend Chat List.
Click Turn Off Video and Voice calls in the pop up menu.
Now, Select the amount of time you want them disabled and you are good to go.

Thank you. I see the Gear Box. After that, there is nothing that allows me to make these changes. I don't know why it's different. I'll figure it out sooner or later. Fortunately, I have not gotten any more video chats.

I have been receiving such obscene Facebook calls too. Most of the time it some horny men trying to show me nudes. It is so annoying and so I have disabled video calls on my Facebook.

If you think that is disgusting, Chatroulette is much more worst.

You're always aware of so many things. I had to Google "Chatroulette". I guess if you have no life it's entertaining.
