Yet another electric vehicle caught on fire and this time it's a scooter. Less than a week ago, the Dropbox headquarters in San Francisco was evacuated after the battery of an eScooter exploded on the company's fifth floor.

A spokesperson for Dropbox described the incident as a 'small fire' that was swiftly extinguised by the San Francisco Fire Department. Everyone managed to get out of the building safely and there were no reports of injuries.

Only two months ago another fire incident led to a particular brand of eScooters being taken off the roads in San Francisco and Washington D.C.

I was thinking that too. Something about these batteries isn't quite right yet. Or maybe it's just part of the imperfections we have to deal with. I don't know but the frequent fires are too dramatic, lol.
