Are pop up cameras future?

Postby mrki444 » 09 Sep 2019, 12:41

Since now we can make phone without edge, we don't have place for a front camera and we know how those are important = selfies. Manufacturers get idea and we got pop up camera. It looks similar to SD car slot but it is very functional.

What do you think about it?

I think it is though it doesn't look durable. A clumsy person can simply ruin it.

Many things we can easy ruin on smartphone, like pen. Even SD card is not often moved, but in case of moving, it can be damaged.

Imagine if you use the phone for gaming and forgot to fold the pop up camera.

I think "The one who dies with the most toys WINS!"

 I borrowed that quote from a minister. He was teaching a class on how people are obsessed and always want to add a new and witty invention to their "toy" collections. For them, every new tech toy is an absolute necessity. I can't stand taking selfies.   But I'm sure this camera must have some sort of value-add. Though not for me. I'm not much of a photographer.

I agree with you, especially for selfies. Few my friends say it is good stuff since entire screen can be used without edge and holes for front camera.

People can now look ugly in selfies but uploads them bombarded by filters.

My husband's phone has this feature, he is not a selfie person nor am I . He bought the phone for the other features. We got the camera out once when we bought it to check it out and another time by mistake in the last three months. It really adds up to nothing for me. I take a lot of pictures, but no selfies for me.
