The new iPhone 11 Pro Max promises “up to 5 more hours” of autonomy compared to the previous generation of Apple's smartphone, the iPhone XS Max. And although Apple has said that this is due to the better optimization offered by the new processor, someone has discovered another possible culprit: the battery is 25% larger than the previous model.
Those responsible for the YouTube channel DChannel have made an iPhone 11 Pro Max, which has been disassembled to analyze the piece by piece. To their surprise, they found the battery that carries the new iPhone "Pro" larger is 4,000 mAh, or being more specific, 3,969 mAh. In addition, it is a battery of 15.04 watts - hour, 25% more than the battery of 12.08 watts - hour of the XS Max of 2018.
The new battery also has the same "L" shape as the previous one (although this time it is a single cell battery), and in the video images you can clearly see the difference in its size. The battery of the 11 Pro Max is even thicker.
So indeed, the latest iPhone includes a new processor that probably improves performance and resource optimization compared to the last generation, but without a doubt, having a larger battery in a similar device means greater autonomy.
