AI can now write articles

Postby Netherrealmer » 01 Oct 2019, 12:00

You will just list down some datas and points you already have and information you wanted to be researched and wordsmith will make hundreds of articles about that subject. No wonder there is a huge decrease on article writing gigs on line.

Based on my experience I also encountered articles that seemed to be written based from my Google search. If I google if a show will have a new season or it got cancelled, I always encounter those articles about it that doesn't make sense.

Remember months I ago I made a discussion about the AI that can write songs? Now this is a new level.

This a new level of technology. I believe it's use requires special training.

AI doesnt need training it works on its own. The reason I made this discussion because its a threat for all freelance writers.

It is threat for all other writers. Imagine new book Popular as Harry Potter and when you ask who is author, answer is AI.

Definitely bad news for freelancers and even everyday writers.

Imagine, a computer trained to read a box score for a sporting event, a stock report, or anything else with numbers and a computer can generate an article from that. Not good, not good at all for those that rely on their ability to write articles.

This could definitely be expanded and use algorithms to determine 'stories' that sell and replace even entertainment writers.

So, AI can kill the clubs of writers and creators! Wow! So, now it can cause a havoc in an unorganised sector of employment! Future is definitely not bright and shining!

Yes, I remember the discussion about AI writing songs. Not so long ago I also received a news article to read and later give my opinion. After that I was asked if I could tell it was written by AI. I wasn't thinking along the lines of it being written by such but I knew it was out of touch with journalism. That's how I would put it. The info seemed like it was grabbed from here and there and formed into something without coherence.

Some of the lyrics and articles written by AI seems a bit out of whack, but i have to say the fiction written by AI has to be the hilarious so far. I read something the other day which sounded like it was written mechanically just a bunch of high sounding words and phrases. The author of the articles seemed pretty appreciative but nope for me it sounded weird.
