Fuchsia OS is new OS developed in Google. One time was annouced as replacement for Android but I didn't hear anything about it lately. Even if it come, I don't think Google will just remove Android since it brings them ton of money.

Did you hear anything new about Fuchsia? Will anything replace Android in next 5 years?

There are some technologies or updates which come sometimes, but they do not last long, or are replaced by something else. Remember Windows Vista, which failed to cut much ice.
So far Android looks like the best bet going ahead.

I rememeber Vista but Vista was strong some time. It was spread on market and many people use it but Fuchsia was never released as offical version or it was present on devices. It was always annouced as something in future.

I also remember Vista but didn't have any ratings for it. Many of the people who went for it regretted badly, remember? I agree still that it was widely used for a while.

Android seems to be doing fairly well so maybe they won't replace it just yet. Only from you, I learnt of Fuchshia OS. They probably thought it wasn't quite up to standard, no telling.

Most likely it will be delayed more now that we have pandemic.

Another OS that sounded promising (al least to me) was Tizen. It was backed by Samsung, which was the sole capable competitor of Apple back in those days. The project never really took off I believe. It was eclipsed by the fledgling android and couldn't shine on its own.

There were some chances for another OS when was war between Huawei and Trump. Many companys start develop their OS but after war finished everybody continue use Android.
