How about the snuff videos that are still around their system. They need to remove them too.

That is horrible that that much of that kind of content even exists on there.
And they say it can only be found on the dark web. They say even on youtube it's on there.
It is truly a sick world we live in.

Yes, they are working on that too from what I understand. It looks like they have their hands full with all this. According to their report, they've managed to take down a lot before it could reach us.

Yeah, now they have to work harder but that's what happens when they don't set the standard and abide by them in the first place. The fact that they can do this now (after an outcry) means they could have done it before. Better late than never still.

Yeah same on them for allowing it to happen for so long
That garbage should not even be on mainstream sites. But sometimes the law
lets those groups and page stay up so they can catch bad guys who upload or join them.
But still glad they got rid of all that

At least they never harmed the video monetizers by solving this problem. Unlike the way Youtube combats elsagate.

It looks like they calculated everything and realized taking that route wouldn't benefit them (Facebook). For sure, this is less chaotic than the Elsagate saga. On YouTube the wrong people got burned, too bad.

Right they just went after and shut down the predators. Exactly but gamers and legit pages are still up they only took out the bad stuff. With youtube they demontized people claimed you needed 1000 subs because of spam. Now elsagate etc . Youtube is worse and worse
It's why I just make content for facebook now.

People who shares these videos that violates the rules on their wall should be reprimanded or warned too. These child abuse and snuff videos wont get viral if people are not sharing them.

True they should not even share or repost. Just report them and get them deleted. Who in the hell put them up in the first place? I heard some sick guy was doing the same thing on youtube pretty crazy when you think about it.
Oh well it's good they are finally cleaning up the sites. about time.

People who get a kick out of these things? I think they keep doing it because there's an audience for it. As much as they could think to post it, there will be people who think to entertain it.

Around 2008, Youtube is filled with snuff videos and cadaver dissection videos. Imagine how many years it took to remove them. One is the infamous Boso where Islamists in Indonesia attacked a Christian Village and the Maguindanao massacre where a Politician in the Philippines hired goons to kill Journalists. I remember the controversies of those videos because someone keeps uploading them. There is also this Slovenian teenage girl who uploads videos of her throwing puppies in the river so she gets views and Youtube partnership. Facebook also experienced those sick videos but they solved it better than Susan.

I never knew that crap was even even on youtube. Good thing I always stuck with music and gaming videos, and comedy all those years. I don't think I could handle seeing stuff like that. I am glad they cleaned it up. That kind of stuff has always been against youtube rules since day one. But crazy people still try to upload it.

People who shares them are much more worst. They are the reason they got viral in the first place. I scolded a coworker before because she shared a snuff video on her timeline, she is complaining why such videos are created. Then I told her she is part of the problem. Why did she share it.

I'm with you. I had no idea YT had that kind of stuff. I look for music, old movies or TV series, cooking shows and tips to earn money online and sometimes educational videos like history or travel.

That is always interesting. You are going to take up something you don't like being posted, post it, and then ask others why these things are posted. Is it not obvious that the thing will self destruct when it receives no engagement? If you don't want it to spread, don't play with it, simple.

It's just sickens me that a product which was made for something so innocent like reconnecting and renewing relationships has become something so FOUL AND FILTHY!! Man! An evil-minded person can turn anything into doom and dread. It's not enough to abuse a child you want to share the experience with others? Just thinking of the wicked things some people do gives me a headache and turns my stomach!
