The government's excuse is to stop scammers from having disposable accounts they can get rid of scammers. It I am not talking about name registration. It's facial recognition!!

The excuse of the government is to stop the scammers from scamming and if Phones are face registered, it cannot be used if its stolen. The intention sounds nice but It sounds to me like this is a breach of privacy of the citizens and it has something to do with the social points systems that they are planning to implement. This sounds very scary to protestors.

Its just about more power and control. People in china have no freedom.. it is a slave state.
I would never want to even go to China. Hong Kong must remain free. This is evil and control.
But they should have under ground burner phones and networks. Or people can
get encrypted walkie talkies.. there is always a way.

In many countries there is no registration. This one in China is face registration and not a name registration.

I think face registration is better than name registration. Getting sim card with name of other is easy than face registration. So some peoples misused it.

Correct. In Croatia you can buy sim card and phone in normal phone without any data given. But in this case you can't use some option which have people with contract. In US those phones are called burner phones.

It is scary. They want to control everything people do which is not a good thing.
I would rather just not have a cell phone if they ever did that here. Even though I use my phone to make money. But on the positive side. I Do love Chinese food.

The only bright of this is that scammers and online job cheaters will have less options if they cannot hoard multiple sims anymore. Unregistered sims though would be a black market item.

Face recognition registration might pick up in India too. Currently, people have to give Address and ID Proof, and a photograph. But face recognition would of course be different.

It is not only in china even in cameroon or morocco you should also register before buying
