Life after COPPA

Postby Netherrealmer » 04 Jan 2020, 16:45

Coppa is officially activated now. It's now finally working.

I checked the top kids Youtube channels.

First one is Fun toys collector.

She stopped uploading since November. She was a former pornstar who quits porn after discovering that her passion for toys can be monetized, So Youtube changed her life. She is not an Elsagate channel. Her channel is very child friendly, she disabled the comments so people cannot comment about her porn past. I think she still makes money out of Youtube, she is still getting ads but the ads but less than before. If she continues uploading she will still make money but before Coppa she makes 5 million dollars a year.

Ryan's Toy review

This toy review channel use to make more money than Pewdiepie. He is a little boy that reviews toys.

Coppa messes him big time. His comments are disabled and he have no ads.

Well, our channel is far from monetization, so I am a bit concerned. We do state that our videos are not specifically targeted at the kids but under 18 age folks can also watch. I am not sure, if YouTube runs its algorithm to verify, or is it manually doing so?

Wow, what an inspiration - from porn star to YouTube stardom hahahaha. Do you know why she stopped making more video clips? I hope she didn't decide to pack it in to return to her porn career. Apparently it can pay really well.

I think she is afraid of COPPA. I don't think she will go back to porn, she is a millionaire now.

I read how many porn stars don't really make so much Money as we think. And many of them earn Money as influencer more than from movies.

She dont deserve to be demonetized and this changed her life and ftc kept forcing their super dated coppa law.
Her videos are very harmless regardless of her past. Her channel is not Elsagate at all.

She had been doing this since 2011 so her net worth is around 30 million. Many toy channels are demonetized now.

Apparently it (COPPA) affects live chat too. I didn't know about this. There's a program I visit every week and we (the attendees) have always been able to communicate via the live chat. Today when I went on and clicked 'live chat' to see who had already checked in, it said 'this action is turned off for content made for kids'. I tried from desktop and it said 'chat is disabled for this live stream'. Who turned it off? I get the impression it's not the organizers because up to last week we were conversing with no issues whatsoever. There has never been anything out of the way in the conversations, all clean and useful. When I clicked 'learn more' from phone I saw something about certain features being restricted to be in compliance with COPPA. I didn't read in detail but what's the purpose of a live chat without being able to chat? That's the only way we were even able to communicate with each other anyway. People are from all across the country and the world. We don't know them otherwise so it's not like we can call them on the phone. The channel was not set up to make money, so no problem with the no ads but I'm still not sure I get why we can't chat in the live chat.
