What do you think of these inventions that are never released to the public

Postby Netherrealmer » 11 Jan 2020, 18:40

Sphere screen tv and monitor.

Someone already invented this, the reason is to have a medium to watch 360 videos without VR.

360 theaters.

360 videos exists now and You either need VR or use arrow keys to see different angles to watch them. They already exists but they dont know how to make it feasable. Imagine watching a movie where it felt like you are there because you can witness the story in 360 vision. You need to turn your head a lot.

Jetpacks
In many old movies they believe that on the year 2000 people will be using Jetpacks instead of cars, Jetpacks already exists but it is still not mass produced. The real jetpacks can be rented but you can only ride them indoors.

The one you can use without VR would be nice to have right now. I've often wondered how you could have the experience without the glass. How is it that they haven't found a way to make it feasible?! The jetpack thing reminds me of indoor skydiving. I wonder how much of a distance we'll be able to cover when we start using them in place of cars.

A jetpack can fly up to 3000 feet but they can only run for 30 to 40 minutes that's why they are still not mass produced as transport.Imagine your jetpack running out of gas while you are above.

No, I don't want to imagine it but for 30 to 40 minutes we could walk and skip the drama. Maybe they'll develop on it and even add some special protective gears for when you're that elevated out in the open. It looks like fun for indoors still.

Jetpack is to dangerous so far and driver is not protected. It should have more saftey protocols. Sphere and 3D cinema is not interested since there is 3D glasess and now VR.

That's probably another reason it has to remain indoor use only. Right now it looks like they'd be naked out there in the air. It's better off as it is being used for now - inside!

The Jetpack kind of a thing (or something similar) was used in the Sean Connery starrer James Bond movie- Thunderball (1965).
May be it was shown in some other movie but not too frequently, and not in the common domain.

Oh goodness! 😂 I never thought of that. Nope, let this type of transportation stay where it is. The police has more to do than to be arresting naked people in the air. As for being drunk, the last thing we need to hear are ads reminding us not to drink and fly or "fly responsibly", right? LOL

Because all of this possibilty we should try develop air taxi. At least nude people would stay inside like in regular cars.

All these inventions are fantastic but commercial use is very important.
