It can be a clean source of energy if the facility have great maintenance and located to a place free from Weather problems like storms or geological problems like earthquakes and volcanic eruption. In a safe environment with strict maintenance, Nuclear Power can provide cheap electricity that is efficient. But a single earthquake can make an environmental damage like Fukushima or an accident can be like what happened to Chernobyl.
As long as there is no earthquakes and leaks Nuclear Power is environmentally friendly compare to oil and coal.

Problem is how to bring to users and source is not stabile. You don't have enough wind every day or you have to much. Sun is go out and down every 12 hours.
fergus1234 wrote:That wont be a problem if he solar panel is off grid because it has batteries that can last for days in case of night and rainy season.

Problem is in transport to long distance users. Batteries are not good for transport and they don't have enough capacity.
