I have not gone in for WhatsApp. The forwards keeps one perpetually occupied either reading through them or deleting them. The memory gets loaded with unnecessary forwards. Friends and family think you should also know what they find interesting. The worst part is when they merrily upload photos and videos.

What is your experiencde on WhatsApp

Unfortunately, I don't use WhatsApp anymore. All my friends are working in Telegram. This is the same thing.

Whatever we are interested in knowing we can get it online and through TV. WhatsApp is a mere waste of time.

I have to use Whatsapp for work a lot, and what I hate is how intrusive people can be. They would never call you on the phone at midnight, but they have no problem sending you a Whatsapp in the middle of the night.

I don't use Whatsapp. I use mostly Viber. Many friends have both of it but I like Viber since it got first version for Desktop.

I love using WhatsApp but my main gripe is the stuff forwarded onto me. A lot of it is preachy, motivational stuff I absolutely HATE. I don't see the point of someone prattling on about how I should pull myself out of a funk - I already know how  There's a male friend who sends me some vulgar stuff, which I find inappropriate and disrespectful since he knows my husband and to be fair, we're not close enough for him to send me stuff like that. I just delete it all. I delete the offensive stuff as it comes in and do a weekly purge every week.

I have a WhatsApp app on my smartphone before but I have decided to delete it after a week since most friends and family members are on Viber and Facebook Messenger.

This is usually the issue I have with them too. I always single out the culprits and send them a PERSONALISED message asking that they not include me in any bulk-send info unless it is specifically relevant to me. It seems they are of the belief that what they are doing is the 'right' thing so that's why I have to remind them that right for them is not necessarily right for me. Some of them don't even care if we have different beliefs they want to give lectures on what you 'should' be doing. We know so many people from so many backgrounds (different ideas) you mean I should be lectured by all of them? Do I have a say in what concerns my own life? Lol, if they can't understand when I say 'please don't send me anymore' their intentions weren't pure in the first place. And it seems the only type of conversation some are able to have on WhatsApp is to do bulk forwarding. I'm not into that. You better talk to me one-on-one or don't talk to me.

I believe that it is up to us whether to pay much attention to everything we get on WhatsApp or not. Sometimes I do read different messages, but I regularly clear up the messages and images, videos etc.
And I do not keep on checking everytime.
