Postby Sophya » 15 Apr 2020, 13:38

Well, it's convenient but I've heard it's not safe.

Well, I've heard it's good but it was on the news recently because I think it was hacked into. I've never personally used it.

With 5 kids in school right now (or rather, AT HOME and trying to keep up with school), Zoom has become an annoying necessity. We've used it the most for my son's preschool circle time. The teacher mutes all the kids until it's their time to share something, so that cuts down on the chaos a little. They at least still get to see their friends.

I think Skype being one of the oldest, it's safer to use. There's just too many coming out I can't even keep up. A friend invited me to join her on House Party yesterday and it was the first I heard of it. I don't even know if I can trust it.

That one's been around a little while, but I've read articles saying to be careful regarding Houseparty.

I started to use Zoom for working meetings and I use it several times during the week. I read that it may have security problems but right now I only follow the link that my boss send me to the meetings and so far so good, it has been working quite well.

Awww... I thought you were talking about Zoom, the nemesis of the Flash! That was a different Zoom! I haven't tried that one yet. I haven't even used skype for quite some time... Maybe I will go check it out...

Hmm... looks cool... no download needed... but unfortunately, the internet connection is quite too unreliable for me to use it... :(

I'm not using data. I'm using an LTE modem with a monthly subscription. I can't rely on a wired connection in my area. There's a lot of open space and lots of trees touching the cables. Anytime a strong wind blows, there's a good chance I will get disconnected.

I used to have a good and stable speed. But ever since this quarantine was implemented, the services have become unstable. I still get a good signal on my modem, but I get "No Internet Connection" status on my laptop.

I got no choice when it comes to ISP here in the Philippines. It's either bad or worse! I went for the bad.

I've recently downloaded it but not used it since I'm primarily an apple user anyways, and most everyone I know uses FaceTime.

Pretty much anything on the internet has the ability to be hacked, so I'm not exactly concerned about that. Everyone just needs to take the necessary precautions when using any video/call streaming services.

The biggest advantage of zoom is you can have a family reunion online since up to 100 people can chat at the same time.

I have been using it for several months. Zoom is very comfortable. I have set a password for security. ;)

Zoom comes in handy to hold meetings. I used it last week to have a meeting with my employer in Australia.
