Famous People are humans too, Stop Cyber bullying

Postby Netherrealmer » 23 May 2020, 15:26

When ordinary people gets bullied online, Its easier to block cyber bullies because we ordinary people can easily block those people or even delete our accounts. IT is a different case with celebrities because they are not allowed to delete social media accounts since they need it for promotion.

Whether the person is famous or not, Please don't cyberbully. If that person committed suicide, You are a murderer.

I was waiting for Hana Kimura's wrestling contract for Stardom to be over because WWE and AEW wants to hire her. With her looks and wrestling skills I know she will be big in the USA. The biggest Japanese wrestler in AMerica right now is Asuka but I know Hana Have potential to be bigger than Asuka. I had been following her since she was 19 years old, I was so excited for her to debut in the USA. Well it wont happen because she experienced severe Cyber bullying and she commited suicide. Many people thought celebrities and beautiful women have tough skin from criticism and cyber bashing but they are still human. I am so shocked that she committed suicide today just because of cyberbullying.

Her career was doing well, she is even a champion. People have no idea was depressed and vulnerable.

For us regular people, Cyber bullying is easier to avoid since we can block a couple of bullies but she got millions of bullies. I know 22 year old are adults but some people are still childlike and vulnerable on their 20's

The cyberbullies are from Japan since she is well liked in the US and American wrestling fans wants her in the US.

That's sad news. Whether people have tough skin or not, there's no justification for harassing them. I feel for her loved ones. Thanks for sharing the info.

Basically she joined a Netflix Reality show and she had a fight with a male contestant and fans of the show sided with the guy. So people cyberbullied her and also said racist things against her because she is not pure Japanese, her dad is Indonesian. Whether she is rude to that guy or not, cyber bullying a person to death is not cool. People told her to kill herself for being rude.

Many people who are rude in reality shows are nice in real nice but they go a bit crazy in reality show because they are isolated and bored. I think suicidal people should not be allowed on reality shows but many reality shows still cast them because their craziness adds ratings .

Sometimes people see bullying in action and take no action against it. Maybe they think the person deserves it because s/he is 'rude'. And in the same breath they support their so called friends in attacking the person's race and personality? I don't even know what being 'pure' anything has to do with anything, really. People can't have disagreements anymore without 'fans' taking it further than it needs to go? She had a fight with the guy, so what? Talking about her daddy and suggesting she kill herself is beneath low and still over the top. And these hypocrites are the self-appointed authority on what is rude!? I'd really like to know if at all, the platform on which this harassment took place knew before what was happening.

I am só sorry. People can be so mean and doing cyber bullying is such a coward way to offend people, because bullies are most of the time anonymous. Most of the bullies have miserable lives and envy others.

This is the reality tv footage that made people tell her to kill herself. Yes it is mean but its not evil enough to tell a person to kill herself.

Media are also idiots for blaming wrestling fans for bullying her when its the Reality show fans who bullied her. Netflix should never do a reality show again. Look When Survivor ends filming production gives Psychological and medical help for contestants because most reality contestants gets PTSD from Isolation.

Netflix neglected their contestants letting them getting cyber bullied to death. Netflix kept hyping her as a villain which makes people attack her online not knowing she is depressed and got PTSD from the show. People who are mentally vulnerable should not be on a reality show but producers cast them anyway for drama and rating.

Wow, how very tragic - and such a waste as well :( I absolutely HATE any form of bullying and often put my neck on the line to defend the underdog. I always imagine these heartless trolls as deeply scarred, lonely, socially awkward and miserable people who derive pleasure out of making other people's lives as miserable as their own from behind the screen. As you said, the various media outlets sometimes don't help either because they can say some of the most horrible things out there. It's a sad state of affairs.

Sad that a lot of people are "brave" enough to say these kinds of things just because they're behind a keyboard and monitor.

If you can't say anything nice....

Many young athletes are under big pressure. Croatian tennis player Dona Vekić report several threats from bookies after losing some matches on tournament.

I think if you want to be a public figure, you have to expect a certain amount of hate. I'm not saying it's right, but it comes with the territory, you should learn to have a thick skin and not let the comments bother you.

She is not used with hate and In Japan they take family honor seriously. Her mom is a Wrestling legend and a hater told her she puts shame on her mother's name. Also joining a reality show where you get isolated from society gives contestants PTSD. Imagine having PTSD and someone telling you to kill yourself. PTSD is no joke.

And for most part of that hate there is no reason. There are only angry users and jealuse on other success and brave only online.

That is really sad, you know I just started thinking about this right now and I think if it was me it happened to, I might have done the same thing, some people just can't deal with cyber bullying and people who bully each other like this should be banned forever, someone has to take a bold step about this in order to prevent things like this from happening.

If not because all hands are not equal, everyone is made wonderfully and good. It's already in the Scripture. Besides love supersedes everything and it is the first and greatest commandment. Let's love one another..

Aaaw. That's tragic. Honor and Integrity is highly valued in Japan. Without it, people will dehumanize you and would say rude things about you. And it seems ironic that they tell the person for being rude and add it with nastier comment. Sigh. Humans.

Tragic that such a young talented and beautiful girl should be a victim of cyber bullying but it exists everywhere from the famous to the unknown.

My granddaughter was subjected to online bullying through a Whatsapp group that one of her school colleagues made to pick specifically on her. Thankfully she told me and I reported it to the school and it was stopped immediately and a couple of times when I was around at the time they were bullying her by phone she put it on loudspeaker so I could hear it and I threatened them with the police. Instant cut off!

@sprite1950 - I'm glad you did what you did. A lot of people (especially younger children) get bullied and they never speak up about it so nothing ever gets done. Then they keep getting bullied until they can't handle it any more and they start hurting themselves. I'm really glad you spoke up for your granddaughter and stopped the bullying immediately <3
