Homemade solar vehicles

Postby mrki444 » 08 Jun 2020, 20:58

What do you think about homemade solar vehicles?

Many people build it from need since fuel price went in sky. Some made it just to prove they can. Some made it for family to have entertainment or DIY project. In many cases with solar panels they have small classic fule engine or electric engine as back up. Also range is not big since batterys are classic car batterys. For some you need to pedal some time to start it.

Here are some examples.

Now if they can only mass produce them for an afordable price. Makes me wonder why they are expensive when panels are made of sand or recycled bottles.

I like them. So after you pedal a little they'll just run with no more effort? If I could make that it wouldn't be to prove I can but I'd want it for the freedom. I wonder how far they can go and if they are allowed on certain major roads. If nothing else, they're different - love that!

Biggest part of price in pro solar cars are batterys.

Yes for some since you need to add more current in start and later is enough from panels.

This vehicle is made by high school students and their mentors in Croatia. Mass is only 120 kg and it can achieve 40km/h speed. During night it can be acitve hour and half but during day much longer depends on weather. Price for make it was around 6000$.

Wow this is very good especially for the health of the planet as gases from fuels will be reduced from the environment. The only thing is to improve the designs of such cars.

Solar cars are automobile cars that use solar power. They transform energy from sunlight to electricity. They can also work well at night in the absence of direct sunlight. They help with environmental pollution and noise pollution. I think it would be captivating if it lives up to the ability to function. Unfortunately, they are built for mainly racing competitions.

I'd love to have one to help save the environment. Climate change is a serious problem that a lot of people tend to ignore.

Many people would like buy solar cars if they are more safer and have support like for classic cars. If you see interest for e-cars is good.

They will support it since a lot of people bought e-cars. And I think solar cars can save more money. No charging station needed and sunlight is free.
