I just read somewhere that Tiktok is going to Microsoft for $5 billion so it will be Microsoft's responsibility to keep user data safe. Probably it will not be banned.

Yes, it would certainly be a good riddance, because of this child pornography issue, it was certainly proving to be a nuisance, even though it is hugely popular among certain section of the population. Even if Microsoft takes over, hope it maintains a strict T&C regarding child pornography.

I don't think TikTok is important for China economy. Such apps are popular now, for a year will not be so I don't think any economy would rely on it.
