Ban on PUBG in India: Its effects on gaming addicts

Postby anilmr » 03 Sep 2020, 16:47

The Government of India has further banned 118 Chinese apps, including the PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG), an immensely popular battle royale game in India. This immensely popular battle royale game has already been in the news owing to its addictive nature and impact on a gamer’s mental state. As per reports, the sudden ban on this online game may have a drastic effect on behaviour and mood of gaming addicts. They may suffer from bouts of depression, irritation and even aggression and may experience functional impairment in different areas of their lives. How do you think this problem can be solved?

No way it can be solved.

First: gamers will find way how to bypass it.
Second: They will find new addiction game. Maybe some India companys make similar game like PUBG?

Also, will they start fobild every better game in future and why they didn't forbid Fortnite when it was on maximum?

There is nothing wrong with gaming addiction if you stream it because you make money of it. They just want to ban it because its a Chinese game. Indians can have similar games made by Korea ,Japan and America.

Yes, you are right, Indian government banned it only because it is a Chinese app. Yes, hopefully for the sake of the disgruntled PUBG addicts, other countries come out with a similar gaming app.

I am not a shooter person I am more of a fighting game and horror game person so if I am Indian I wont have issues because my games are either American or Japanese made.
