Do you have drawer for SSD drive?

Postby mrki444 » 02 Dec 2020, 21:14

In case computer down and you don't have backup of data on Google Drive or any other cloud service, you are in problem. But there is solution. If you don't have warranty and you have right to disasemble computer, you can take out hard drive.
Using drawer you can conncet it to another computer and save data. But many people have drawer for classic HDD disks. Those were years on market and still are so it was more often to save data from it.

SSD drivers are on market for few years and in last go in wide population. Now for saving data you need drawer for SSD drive since old drawer is not compatibile.

Do you already have it? Are you ready for this type of solution in case you need it?

I haven't heard of these drawers before, even though my computer has an SSD hard drive. Is this something you could buy, after your computer has had a problem, to help get access to your data?

Yes. After computer stop working, you disasemble it and took hard drive out. Put hard drive into drawer and connect it with USB cable into another computer. Hard drive will detected and normal USB drive just it will take little longer and be little slower to load it, but you can read data, copy it or what ever you want.

It would like this, maybe plus one USB cable for more power.

It is great stuff for fast data recovering if hard drive is not damaged. Sometimes we can't wait until computer combes back from repair shop and we need access now.

I don't have it yet but I wish to own one. I guess there must be some of the cheap alternative here at amazon. So I have to check it out this December.
