This youtube might go to jail for DMCA take down

Postby MysticMoons » 20 Dec 2020, 01:50

People are trying to make it so people go to jail for a DMCA take down. A lot of streamers play music while they stream and chat. So now people need to be careful if this horrible law passes. What do you think of this? I think i hate mainstream music anyways. So if you are a streamer use underground music and not major label stuff. Indie music is the way to make some money. but overall in your content do not even have music on there.

For everything you don't have permission, don't use it. Music, images, etc. Be careful. Before it was easy to use it since nobody didn't earn money from it. Now you earn from it and pay a fee to owner.

People have knack of using someone else's content as if it's their fathers property. Don't use someones music if it was not mentioned as free. Use images from unsplash, use music from some free place. Why make mistakes purposefully and run anti youtube propaganda ?

Those music companies dont realize its free promotions of their songs. The "hours later" meme made Spongebob more popular.

Yes it is but if they don't see increase of earnings on some other platforms they actually don't earn anything. Also in videos, often music in background is not thing you talk about. So they don't go popular with it. Meme is other thing. Since it is visual it can help promotion.

Yeah they are stupid I became fans of artists cause of hearing the songs on peoples live streams They told me the name of artists and songs. Then I now look them up on youtube and spotify and then listen to them. And they earn money from ad revenue even if I dont buy the CD. I don't know this will actually be less promotion for singers. But then now streamers will mostly play underground and indie, and royalty free music.
I saw on spotifty yesterday they said i can lease a song and then play it on all my streams for a fee, i think they are trying to push this to pay to play songs. But I am good. I rather just play underground music, or none at all lol Hope this law does not pass as it's very stupid
