The end of flashplayer?

Postby Pousinha » 24 Dec 2020, 16:23

It's months that periodically appears an authomatic notic in my notebook screen: 31 december 2020 flashplayes will stop to run. Did you see this notice too? I wonder how sites that need flashplayer plug-in to correctly show their pages would be properly available. I hope to not face a the big loss of chess.com, my chess online playing site. It runs flashplayer to show the chessboard :o . I really hope to not face the end of my chess activity :(
And what the consequences for Adobe Reader? All online universities require this tool to show e-books and articles we must study for our exams. No correct running Adobe Reader means seriously jeopardize studying.

There can't be consequences for something you got for free. Why companys don't use free products? Because nobody can't guarantee it will work while you need it. When you buy some product you hav waranty.
You chess site should go to HTML5 tech.

I have seen that notification, however, I have never been occupied with the consequences. The world is run by corporate houses, they want money for everything, they will stop everything that is free.

In that case it is your mistake. I read for last 4 years how flash will gone and HTML5 or something else will replace it. You should think about it on time.

I honestly wanted flash to end. Though I like the tech, it is so much costly for our computers. It eats CPU so bad that browsers used to die in past on low RAM. I think flash ending is a good news.

And there was to much updates. Often you could not play games until you update it. In update you must uncheck McAffe antivirus otherwise you got it to.
