Udemy

Postby sweerie_banana » 29 Dec 2020, 01:13

Which technologies do you use or peruse? How do you contend with what's trending? I do not comprehend much of the technological knowledge that is coming up but I read on a site about Udemy. It is a broad marketplace of online video courses that assist you to maintain your skills contemporary.

They offer courses of which some are cost-efficient and are an effective method to scope your interest and master a new concept. I am constantly fascinated by Artificial Intelligence. Are there any topics that fascinate you? I love how the configuration of the subsequent humans is advancing. Not so long ago, I tried to work on projects from Appen that mostly deal with photos or videos. I think AI is being applied to everything and is the future.

Are there any courses on technology that you know of? Would you like to study for a new course? What do you think of Udemy? I think I could enroll in the Alexa Development if I had a source of income, though this year has been really rough for some of us. I pray things will be different Next year and that I will get enough funds to probably learn something new online. There are so many courses being offered, I am sure that you shall not lack something to learn about technology. They even have an extensive library, How cool is that?

Re: Udemy

I've done a few courses on Udemy and have also purchased quite a few others, which I have only partially completed. I only ever buy courses there when they have a sale. I like the fact that once you buy a course there, you have lifetime access to it, i.e. it is not sold on a subscription basis.

I did Udemy courses on SQL, Git, UIpath, Postman and C# which were really good and provided the knowledge I needed at a particular time at work. Other courses I bought were not so good. It really depends on the quality of the individual course instructor. Udemy provide a money back guarantee, so if you are not happy with a course your purchased, you can get a refund, within a certain time period.

I love how you can request your money back if you feel you are dissatisfied with the course that you purchased. Do you keep the course despite having gotten your refund? I always wanted to know SQL, I think it will be one of the courses I plan on purchasing come next year. You should also plan on completing the courses you had purchased since you had already paid for them.

@Fergal Did you ever try W3Schools? I started there with their free tutorials and it was great for me.

Can you give us some compare between Udemy and W3Schools?

Hi? This is better since it's free. There is no reason now to sit back and not study something new. It's nice that it worked well for you. I will try and have a look and see if there are more courses on the site.

Great to know that you did all these courses!! is UIPath some sort of UI design tool?

I have identified a few courses on MongoDb and Analytics. The Analytics one is slightly costlier for me, so I would need to accumulate funds for that course.
Udemy is preferred by many folks.

W3Schools - isn't that something related to Html/Java Script or things related to Web?

Instead of Udemy, I'd recommend going to sites like Egghead, Sitepoint, pluralsight. Those sites seems to have pretty good content compared to udemy.

No, if you request and get a refund, you don't keep access to the course.

W3 schools is excellent and is a great source of free tutorials. Udemy is different in that their courses are video courses, presented by an instructor or more than one instructor in some courses. Udemy also has courses in lots of areas not covered by W3Schools.

UIPath is an RPA - Robotic Process Automation tool, it automates tasks on a computer. We used it at work for an automated software testing project.

W3School is site where you learn many languages. Name is similar to W3C - standard for web sites, protocols, browsers.

Good to have a list of various platforms. When I finish my studies, online teaching platform will be my alternative to offline job, to apply as teacher. As Udemy, I previously purchased a for sale psychology spanish language course to complement my second degree.

A lot of courses on udemy are from the stolen youtube videos. So that's one reason I didn't recommend it and instead recommended other sites. Udacity and Coursera are expensive but good sources for small courses.

I also love that there are various sites and one isn't limited to one option. I also intend to teach English but I haven't been serious maybe come next year since I also plan to install the Internet at home and I am sure everything will be much easier afterward. I am happy you were successful with your psychology Spanish language course. and that you graduated.

Thank you sweerie_banana for supporting my studies :D . In my case it would be teaching between my spanish habilitation, italian and may be portuguese too, as I yet did a mini-portuguese course for italian people (even it was not Udemy, but another platform where lessons focus more writings). If english, it could be only for beginners.
I'd like Udemy to focus writings too, in addition to videos.
