Do you like paint tool?

Postby Pousinha » 30 Dec 2020, 12:41

Yes, I know very well paint (for windows based systems) is not Corel Draw, nor Photoshop. But we don't spend a single penny to buy it, as it comes default mode. It has not the features of a professional painting tool, but along the years it helped me realizing several drawings. Some of them were useful to create artworks for the cover and pages of one of my e-books, dedicated to little children. It still helps me to edit pixabay copyright free images for my police novels publications.

Very simple and great tool for begginers or smaller changes. Even I didn't find crop option, still is excellent. I really don't know why it is removed from school curriculum and we don't work with kids in it.
3D version is also great.

The last time I used that tool was back when I was studying computer classes. I have never encountered a situation that required me to use the tool. I love how it is free and you can access it whenever you are using windows. I will try to use it often.

I use it occasionally to obscure information in screenshots, resizing of images and things like that because it is quite convenient for those purposes. For these purposes, it isn't really necessary for me to get anything more advanced

Hi @cyberfreak? I have never known that it had so many uses. I researched and found that the paint tools consist of 13 tools I think but the major ones are, the pencil the paintbrush, the airbrush, and the ink tool. I will try to use them when I am writing a word document.

Now the newest releases of windows 10 count on 2 default more variants: paint 3D and freshpaint. Sometimes I use paint 3D, having little more advanced features (3D objects, in fact), with an initial rare use of freshpaint. But I'm very fond of the old paint.

Starting Photoshop or Gimp just last to long and it is to complicated to do simple things like in Paint. Paint is much faster for load and much faster to simple things.

Paint .net is another good option. Though it can replace gimp for small stuff. I am not sure how much powerful it is for digital art.
