Each pc or notebook (supposing MAC too) has a virtual keabord. This is an essential too for disabled users that cannot use the physical keabord or its use becomes too hard. It's essential too when our physical keabord presents matters and not responding. My first toshiba, 8 years old, now presents the issue an entire column burned (letters C, D, E and n. 3) and the computer support told us there is nothing to do. It's burned, gone. Not being a brazilian notebook (I had bought it years before my international moving), being too old and being a brand not sold in Brazil, it's impossible to change keabord. Not wanting to get rid of this loyal companion, I use it now to earn some online crumbs and the virtual keabord for C, D, E and n. 3 is really helpful. I have an external keabord too, but it's brazilian and not 100% compatible with that device.
ps: there are 2 kinds of virtual keyboard: standard and accessibility (this latter, you can find pushing the windows button and going to accessibility tools)
