zipgenius free, the alternative to winzip

Postby Pousinha » 02 Jan 2021, 16:12

How many time did happen we received a file to study or to do an academic written job from our university, master or phd course? But...surprise: these were zipped files and we struggle to open them, as windows doesn't provide us with a default unzipping tool. So we begin a research and our engine list winzip first. And here, another surprise: we need to pay to download winzip. Yes, there is the standard 30 days trial, but then, what? What when the university sends us the next file for our academic job and the winzip trial has expired? So go down the line, to find the alernative zipgenius. Zipgenius counts on both free and pro releases, but the first is enough for a student and for intermediate skilled online workers. I always maintain a zipgenius app in my toshibas sat, ready to use each need.

7zip is also free. Winrar is good.
Becareful with tools they can often coruput files inside. You can also use online tools. In that case you don't have to install anything. Just need browser.

Good news! I didn't know exist unzipping programs without downloading them. Is 7zip an online tool? I would prefere very much, as I don't like to overload the hd or ssd.

Prior to Windows 7 I used zipgenius a lot. In fact I used it so much that I switched to 7zip only when I wanted few specific formats to uncompress.

7zip is program. I have it on my computer. But there is many online extraction tools but I don't know is any related to 7zip. Online tools are great when you download something on Android and you don't have app for extraction.
