iPhone was claiming it was a copyright violation because the virtual machines were created to help all iPhone users. Apple thought it was making a competing product for consumers. Rather, It was a research tool for a small number of users that didn't require the physical iPhone.
I am so happy the court ruled fairly. I am sure now the clients will come flowing after the case ruling. This has really boosted the marketing of the company. This is such an enormous win for the security research industry to be specific.
Apple had tried to buy the company a few years back but wasn't successful. Apple had prevailed in the past with such cases. Could it be they buy the attorneys off? This still came as a surprise to me cause no one has ever won against Apple. I am thankful to the judge on this one.
