the importance of an external mobile battery

Postby Pousinha » 09 Jan 2021, 14:13

When I purchased my galaxy A9, I knew this kind of mobile could own an external battery and I decided to add it to my purchase for a convenient price. External battery is very useful when lack of electricity comes. And if I don't mistake, an external battery can be helpful when the internal gets too old and doesn't last more than 5 hours. If we can't quickly run to assistance, the external battery may be used to let us continue a normal use of the mobile until is possible to change the internal one or buy a new phone.

The external moblie battery has great importance most especially when you want to charge and your phone charger is bad. You remove the battery and charge using a universal charger.

I think it is better use name power bank than external battery. If you want buy it you can find it often under power bank name. Also, choose 4000mAh. It is expensive but it can last much longer.

It depends how affordable in tier3 and tier4 countries a power bank is...

I noticed external mobile battery being more powerful than charger, even this latter isn't damaged. But I can't remove battery, as samsung line build the new device with no-removal ones.

I agree with mrki444 that a power bank is a better option, even if it is slightly more expensive. An external mobile battery is useful when the original one in your phone doesn't hold a charge and you need to replace it. But it's not something I would buy along with a new phone. I'd only purchase the external battery after the original battery starts to die.

I also heard that the power bank is better, personally I don't have it nor an external battery as I have never had the need but if I need I would go for the power bank.

Unfortunately I can't do that :( . As I don't live in a top tier country and in mine I don't live in a federal capital, I need to take a train to go to a city 30 minuts far from mine to find a realible shopping brand where to purchase a new mobile. Waiting to buy the external battery means to lose sales and to spend for tickets train again for me and for my husband too (never think to buy a samsung quality phone while alone or an armed robbery awaits you in a country like Brazil).

If your phone is brand new, especially if it's a high-brand phone, the battery will last at least 1-2 years. Surely, you will be back in the city at least once within the next 1-2 years so you can pick up a battery? Or you can order online when you need to.

Batteries will degrade when not in use so it doesn't make much sense to me to have an external battery sitting around. But that is just my opinion.

That phone only misses few months to complete 2 years old and I'm doing efforts for the battery to last. Even I consider battery the weak point of this phone, it's still capable to last until 48 hours between a charge and another. But I don't download thousands of apps in spite of its 128 GIGA of space and 6 of memory. It says only 21% of the space is busy.
The mobile I had before, a samsung slim III: it's battery lasted 4 or 5 years (it still was the removable kind of battery).
Hoping the same luck for the A9

Hi @Pousinha? I know of the high crime rate in Brazil. There is so much robbery happening in Brazil. It has the highest number of homicide cases. Pickpocketing and bag snatching is very common there. I don't have either a power bank or an external charger. But I can relate to the use of either when your battery has no charge and you were probably working on a project they come in handy.

Yes sweerie_banana: sometimes I need the external battery because I'm doing a job or internet banking I can't simply stop or it means a lost opportunity. But I don't need that battery to charge mobile when I'm out of home because I simp'ly don't go out with that phone, at least if my husband doesn't come with. Too dangerous.
