Republicans are running out of social networks

Postby Netherrealmer » 14 Jan 2021, 19:51

After the shutdown of Parler. They now move to Gab. Gab is similar to Twitter but it has Freedom of Speech. It attracted many conservative christians, Qanons, Anti vaccine covid denying Karens, White Supremacist, and Trump Supporters.

Youtube just banned Donald Trump's Youtube channel as well. So he is running out of platforms to post with. I wonder if there is a potential to use Gab for marketing? I mean I can try to promote my articles there and see if I will get some clicks.

After the Capitol Hill incident, looks like a lot of tough action and restrictions for people supporting those actions.
Let us see how the things evolve.

Two of the Backstreetboys hates each other now. One is Democrat while the other joined Parler and Gab.

Republicans are running out of social networks because their party has moved from being simply right-wing to being extremist. In any other western democracy, the statements that Republican politicians routinely make would be simply unacceptable. It is completely possible to hold conservative political views without being a reprehensible human being, but the Republican Party in the U.S. seems to struggle with that concept.

I totally agree. The current crop of Republicans have really gone to the dark side. What I find particularly chilling is the brazen attitude with which they do it as well - and with impunity. If it were say in the UK, there'd be uproar if a ruling party or even a political party carried on the way they are.

The scariest part of it, at least for me, is that nearly forty-seven percent of the U.S. electorate looked at what Trump was doing and still decided to vote for him in 2020. I did not vote for Joe Biden, nor do I care for him as a candidate, but it is still telling that a fairly sizable portion of the electorate chose to endorse Trump's actions in the voting booth.
