Do you think LG is a good brand for household appliances? When I moved to Brazil, only existed the local brands in our household appliances shops. At least out of the federal capitals. My mother-in-law had no luck with hers and all appliances crashed. And her refrigerator was new . For her next appliances to buy, I'm thinking to advice my mother-in-law to purchase LG items. Would it be the right advice? I'm hoping LG would be good for household appliances as it is for mobiles.

We have an LG washing machine this past maybe three years. We are very happy with it, it washes well and has not had any issues at all. I'm not an expert on the subject but would definitely be happy to purchase LG appliances in the future.

Thank you Fergal, I'll advice my mother-in-law to purchase LG brand for the next appliances she'll need. I too will think to LG for the day I'll need to change mine (even if I hope my current appliances to last a long, long time ). Probably, I was lucky with my current brand, owning its appliances since the same year I moved, because a lot of my acquaintances that purchased the same, complained their appliance didn't last more than 2 and half years. I think 2 and half years is too short life for domestic appliances.

LG brand is not bad at all it's a good brand. We have LG TV and up to now, it's still working.

LG is a very good brand, personally I don't have any device of that brand but my mom has and it last years. I think it has an extended guarantee too.

Make sure it has a warranty if you're planning to buy a brand new one.

More than 5 years for sure, my mom bought her refrigerator when I was pregnant of my daughter, my daughter will be 9 in April and the refrigerator is srill quite good, no problems so far.

9 years for a refrigerator (and whatever else appliance) is good news. Hoping it will continue to last for years and years. Lot of times a good brand is guarantie in itself.

There are brands that really last some years, sometimes it worth pay a little more for a good appliance.

If the price is higher and people can't afford, here there is the habit to purchase by instalments (here instalments work for all technology products, but almost all goods can be purchased this way). That's what my mother-in-law would do.

Lg is a very nice brand of wares to buy, I most of my home appliances are Lg products and it is durable and last long .

The appliances must still be well taken care of because it still depends on the person how he will take good care of his equipment.
