What are the coolest things you ever purchased online

Postby Netherrealmer » 10 Apr 2021, 06:58

Something online stores have are items that you cannot find in your area. Lately I had been shopping online a lot.

This is not an advertisement, that is why I blurred the brand names because I won't really recommend and brand name. it is up to you to make brand name comparisons.

What are the coolest things you had purchased online?

Here is mine:

Rechargeable USB batteries.

I hate it when my remote control or wall clocks battery got drained. Buying multiple AAA batteries can be annoying. So I found these rechargeable batteries that you can charge to your USB ports. I don't need to buy new batteries again since I can recharge these batteries.

Freeze dryer

Whenever I harvest fruits from my orchards, I realize that I cannot sell and eat all of them. So I purchased a dryer so I can use them for certain recipes or just have a snack. A freeze dried food can have an expiration of 10 years as long as you place it in an airtight container. I am ready for the apocalypse!!! I was able to make sweet potato flour from sweet potatoes. I freeze dried them and powdered them in blender! You can preserve food without chemicals! You can have crispy fruit and vegetable chips.

Flavored inhalers-

I love inhalers, I hate having a clogged nose and inhalers gives me the instant relief. I know most people uses Vicks inhalers. Look inhalers will not cure your colds or sinusitis but they made my life easier. You still need medication to cure your sinusitis of colds but yeah Inhaler is a great escape from clogged nose.

One complain I have with inhalers, they all smell the same. They are all Mint or eucalyptus flavors. Online stores introduced me to flavored inhalers, They infused mint or eucalyptus to herbs, flowers and fruit flavors. I love lemon, lavender, orange, Himalayan Pink salt and blueberry flavors. No I am not an inhaler addict, I just use them when my nose gets runny. I love the diverse flavors I can buy online, some of them are cheaper than Vicks.

Wooden mouse and keyboard...

Some great ideas there Netherrealmer, one impact of the pandemic is that lots of us are purchasing more online. Was the freeze dryer expensive?

I do like the idea of those USB rechargeable batteries, might get myself some of those.

This are really cool, i love the rechargeable batteries, that would definitely save me a lot of time and energy. I like everything you have posted, i wouldn't mind the freezer drier for preserving fruits and vegetables sometimes i end up throwing fruits because they get spoilt, and cannot be eaten so this can do very well with me.

fruits are fun to freeze dry, You can also freeze dry juice and turn it into "fruit leather" which is a delicious candy. I decided to have freeze dryer after realizing they can extend expiration dates of produce.

I did had a AA cell recharger. Yet it had fitting problems. A wooden mouse and keyboard is one for which I would pay some premium (may be Rs. 200 to 300 more).

I have bought laptop cooling pads online. On top of that, I have purchased notebook speakers through the web.

Yes I have not seen this kind of a stuff so far in Online sites here. May be I would have to try some "Super-Niche" site.

[edited] : wait I saw this just now:

https://www.amazon.in/Walnutbae-Wooden- ... MGB242GA6F

It is Rs. 800 plus, a bit expensive but still one can think of buying it some time.

Wow these are really cool!

The other day my partner ordered some of these:

You can put this on your bike handle and it has a light inside it and squeaks if you press it. Kind of a whimsical purchase but I absolutely love it.

One thing I would like to buy sometime in the future is an air frier. I am a bit obsessed with healthy eating and nutrition, and if we can believe the things I have read about it, it sounds like the perfect combination of healthy cooking and convenience.
