blockchain.com is lowering interest rates

Postby Pousinha » 02 May 2021, 23:35

Someone else using blockchain.com wallet? Did you notice interest rate is going on lowering more and more? When I opened the golden account to earn interests, BCH and stellar lumens earned 7,5%. 1 month ago, it turned 7% and now is 6,5%. Each month, I'm facing a 0,5% of decreasing interest rate. Do you think blockchain.com wallet is still trustworthy or this more and more lowering interest rate being a signal of future scam? :?

I use it but just for receving money. I didn't set anything in interest.
I am not sure general about this wallet. Many people complain about it. I think I will transfer my coins somewhere else.

I opened an account after some suggestions elsewhere in this forum. Until now I didn't have matters receiving and sending BCH. But I begin to worry if there are many complaints. Could you suggest another wallet where to earn interests?

I am not using it as of now. Have they given any reason for the change in the interest rates?

Unfortunately not, at least still not. I only saw the interest rate decreesing and an e-mail sent by blockchain staff announcing the changes on the interest rates about most cryptocurrencies.

Not at all , we can't say they maybe a scam in future just because they lowered interest rates. Blockchain is reputed wallets , they even have free airdrop programs which are absolutely legit. They can't become scam , need not worry on that. If you need better interest rates , try Binance earnings program like flexible savings for USDC .

Thank you for sharing your point of view. No, I'm not worried about the interest rate decreesing in and of itself. I only worried about a possible scam. I have Binance too, but I can't move now my BCH satoshis now or I'll lose money through gas fees and the conversion rate to USDT. I need first to earn a discreet amount of interest and being Blockchain a reputed wallet in spite of the complaint I read about, I choose to leave my BCH in the interests account. But I can use Binance for currencies earned elsewhere than those BCH.

It's the ordinary BCH gas fee (I don't remember the exact fee value). But there are only BCH I earned posting to noise.cash (plus a little amount from Coinbase), so continuos micro-payments I can't withdraw all in once (blockchain doesn't let it, it lets me withdraw only little by little, that's why fees weight -another noise.cash user has the same matter-). I need to earn more interests before moving the funds.
