A friend of mine is a PC user, He doesn't like wireless devices. He had been complaining that his internet connection is slow. But then I saw his son watching videos on his phone using the internet connection's wifi. I also saw his daughter watching videos on Netflix.

No His son and daughter doesnt compete connections with him. They have a decent subscription plan. His internet is slow because his ram card died and the lack of ram made his pc lag whenever he uses browser, He thought its slow connection but its actually low memory.

If you are a pc user and your internet is slow but your household can use internet, that means the problem is not your connection. You need to either replace your ram card or buy a new pc.

Am only using Mobile data. If I use my laptop I set it on personal hotspot. Using the smartphone is faster than using my laptop.

Thats some good advice there i will start keeping tabs so that i would know when my pc is slow, to do the necessary thanks for this platform where we learn new stuff.

That's good advice there. We tend to overlook the issue with our system. We often take it as a connection issue. And we often feel that it is slow as others are also using it. But then it should be slow for them too.

Hmmm this good but I always have problem with connection so sometimes it affect my post.

That has been a problem with me. It is not just online but opening files offline also takes time. RAM could be an issue as I have downloaded huge files that are staring at me on my desktop, I will have to delete some files if they do not help me much. I have already increased the size of my RAM.

If your PC is so old or using the oldest OS version and its Ram is less than 4gb and its memory space is almost full, surely it would slow the performance of accessing an app or browser and a certain website.

Yes RAM speed or performance matters. I have a Disney+Hotstar connection which works relatively well on my office laptop with 8 GB RAM but not so well on my home laptop with 4 GB.
Sometimes, too much disk occupancy in home laptops is also a hindrance but RAM looks like a bigger overhead.
