In this respect, a Technology known as Miyawaki is being used in East Delhi to develop forests on 2200 Sq. M. land.
The forest development uses concepts of native plants, 2/3 tier plant and tree growth including shrubs, different watering methods.
Plus using Organic manure and other things(mainly non-chemical)for the growth.

Yes I believe that this can become a common practice across urban areas in India.

That would be welcomed. Bangalore was once called the garden city and now it is a concrete jungle and all this has happened in the last two decades. Hopefully, such plans would help us restore some bit of greenery back in urban life.

Here in our city, we do have a small forest in every locality. It is a very small area but it is a good concept. You can call it more like a wild park that has not been well taken care of and so a lot of plants and weeds have grown naturally. And you might find a lot of bees, ants, grasshoppers, etc. They are called mini forests here and each area has one or few.

These are all the more urgent now as we see so many areas in the world- Vancouver the latest with abnormally high temperatures.

Such areas have been there in Delhi but somehow a lot of areas have had too many trees cut down.

I just saw an article the other day discussing "Greening the desert". People were growing food in the desert. This souns like another eco-friendly development. I am always happy to read about things like this because no matter all the brew-haha talk about outer space, we really need to work hard to save this planet. People are proving that there is so much we can do in this regard. Despite climate change, Earth is not a lost cause.

Yeah. I know what you mean. And it was very brave of her to take on the "good old boys network" in the industries. Those people are ruthless. They'll try to come after you. But you shine a light that's bright enough, they'll back down because they don't want their greed fully exposed to the public eye.

Yes, in one of the areas in our western desert state of Rajasthan saved water using traditional storage structures. They then created water channels and grew some hardy crops thus making the area prosperous.
We need more such measures going forward.

Well apart from the advancement we also need to preserve our natural resources, heritage and water bodies.

Forests are a good source of water and also protect us from soil erosion, but of late it seems like everyone wants to be like Dubai where we have all this sky rocketing buildings, they forget that it was a dessert but is now one very beautiful plash with lash gardens, they have the mechanisms. Like my country is slowly turning into a concrete jungle which is very unfortunate. this is a good way to go we should all preserve our forests for our own sanity.

Well, unless various countries think in the terms of increasing Green cover with various ways, we are not likely to have better days.
Plus more green cover could also lessen the impacts of floods and droughts.

Plus we need to plant more and more trees if we want to restore ecological balance caused by rapid development, deforestation and land degradation over decades.
