As per a latest decision, the booking and tracking app used in India for Covid 19 vaccination- CoWin is now being made Open Source. That means developers across the world can contribute to this App.
While overall it seems like a good move, it remains to be seen how much interest is shown across the world. One thought also occurs: What if hackers try to sabotage this app?

I was not aware of it. And I have the same concern as it might be hacked and misused. And there are much personal information of people there that can be misused. I hope that the app has robust security to avoid that.

Yes I think without proper security, it can be put out of order and damaged in other ways by the hackers.
So all these aspects need to be looked into.
