Billionaires in Space! Woo Hoo!!

Postby cmoneyspinner » 11 Jul 2021, 18:51

Twitter is buzzing about Richard Branson's space flight.
~ https://twitter.com/richardbranson/stat ... 6717865984
Branson says he hopes others will build more rockets and take their own joy ride into outer space.

WHAT??!!!

I'm not impressed.
Billionaires got nothing better to do with their money than build toys to play with and ruin the planet! They say Branson and Bezos are not competing? Whatever! Don't tell me it's not a competition!

The game is: The one who dies with the most toys wins!

Branson, Bezos, Elom Musk? You think just because you got money you can whatever you want??

News flash!! Poor people and rich people breathe the same air!!!
GRRRR ... !!

In case of Musk though, He wants to colonize Mars as a way to save earth. The Millions of people who wants to move to mars will decrease the carbon footprint of the planet.

He's selling a pipe dream (an unattainable or fanciful hope or plan). You don't have to listen to me now. But when you're 64, you'll remember this! :D

Meanwhile ...

"Shares of Virgin Galactic slipped on Monday after the company filed to sell up to $500 million in common stock. This follows the commercial spaceflight company’s successful test flight with founder Sir Richard Branson."

I will remember that While I live in the Martian colony I retired to when I am 64. sorry but I still believe the Mars colonization will succeed in my lifetime.

People use to laugh at Musk for trying to make electronic cars happen. Also let them spend money, it feeds the economy, it pays taxes and provides jobs.

Why not? There are scientists that have been working on well-funded pipe dream projects for years. You're right. It's a steady paycheck in it.

Interesting facts. it just pains me that someone can spend so much money on irrelevant things when there is so much to be done to make this world a better place, and i quote you up there that we eat and drink the same food and water...

“'Welcome,' he said, 'to the dawn of the new space age.'”

Here’s why Richard Branson’s flight matters—and, yes, it really matters | Ars Technica

Whatever! No matter how much praise they reap on this guy, I don't think what he did is a big deal.

In fact, I think it's the opposite. It does matter. But not in a good sense.

I guess these adventurous explorers look at "their world" (Which is OUR WORLD) this way. They didn't punch the hole in the ozone layer. But they can sure make it bigger!! Eh! The world's going to end anyway. Why not eat, drink, and be merry; for tomorrow we die! After all it is OUR MONEY!!

Yes it's your money. But this is my voice. I don't care how much money you have. In my book, Branson, Bezos , and Musk are the “new” 3 Stooges.

  “We” are neither impressed or amused.

The world actually benefit from Space research. Many of the technologies we enjoy today like Tablet computers, Freeze dryers, solar panel, lasik eye surgery, shock absorber for buildings,AIr purifiers, thread mills and many more will not be invented without space research. its not a waste of money. Also when Billionaires spends money, it feeds the economy.
