Learning about getting websites in dark mode through @JJ at myLot I worked my way through and I am successful at all Sites excepting Forum Coin where while some parts are in black some are in white and very cloudy that cannot be read. I used this link http:chrome://flags

The white screen is bad for those afflicted with eye issues

Is there a solution to this? Can @Fergal kindly help. Thank you.

The purpose of looking at websites using the dark mode is to avoid that white screen that is bad for the eyes. While I am fine with other sites such myLot, Google and even youtube Forum Coin is a mix of both dark mode and white mode The white mode is very cloudy and it is difficult to read the content Hope something can be done about it If I get back to light mode then the entire web will be in white.

I have added a print screen shot just to give an idea what is seen as white.

That is what they call it dark or light mode. Anyway while other websites are just the way I want it here it is a mix and notifications turn extremely cloudy and cannot be read. As I have said if I get back then all websites will have white background. Is there anything FC can do?

It is back with partial dark mode. All other web sites are in full dark mode. I use Chrome and clicked this link
chrome://flags After it opens I scrolled down until I reached the tab Force Dark Mode for Web Contents and click on default. Forum Coin did go fully dark mode for a while but now it is once again partial dark mode It is only the notifications that are in white mode.

Thanks for all of that bestwriter, that process works for me and it looks interesting. Taking a look at dark mode now, not sure how long I will keep it.

I've got to say I don't like dark mode. I don't know if it is connected to my eye defect but I find it more of a strain on my eyes. If I have a choice I will always choose light.

Why would you not want to keep it?

Dark mode has the 'matt' finish if that is the right word. It does not shine and that is what is bad for the eyes.
I do not know why it does not suit you Anyway to each their own

It was a little uncomfortable for me and some pages were a little difficult to read. Probably the main reason is that I am more used to and familiar with the normal mode.

I prefer dark mode on my phone it works pretty well with me especially where there is too much light and i have to use my specs, but for my computer forum is okay for me with the pastel. I hope you are able to keep that mode for as long as it takes.

Same. They say it could save a battery's life and I find it aesthetically pleasing. It looks cool and doesn't hurt my eyes.
