Ryu will always be the Poster boy of Street Fighter but After Street Fighter II, Capcom had attempted to replace the world's most popular Martial Arts Hobo. He and Ken are the leads of Street Fighter I,II, Alpha and Street Fighter IV.




He had the worst backstory of all characters in Street Fighter but he was always been the lead.


In Street Fighter III, they tried replacing Ryu with Alex but Alex didn't got the popularity.


In Street Fighter V, the story centered around Rashid and Karin making them the lead characters. They also won more tournaments than Ryu and Ken.


The Main character of Street Fighter 6 is going to be Luke, He is teen MMA fighter with tattoos.


I agree the replacement of Ryu as the lead character but can capcom please stick with Rashid and Karin. Maybe Luke will grow on me, he is very beginner friendly. Capcom is pushing him as the next lead of Street Fighter. I kinda don't like Luke because he looks like a Paul Brother.

I think Ken and Ryu will always be the fan favorites its like WWE people still talk about how Great The Rock and Stone Cold were and Hulk Hogan, a lot of fans are not excited about the new guys. YOu can't really force a new lead, the people have to be the ones to pick them. Just like in Street Fighter 2 the people made ken and ryu popular, even though Chun Li and Guile were always popular also. I think no matter who they push as the lead, they will never be as popular or picked as much as ken and ryu lol

Rasheed and Karin won more tournaments than Ryu and Ken now so they are the most successful new faces. Sad that they stopped their momentum because Capcom believes Luke will be big. Ken evolving to look different to Ryu is one of Capcom's best move. He is not a Ryu headswap anymore

I do like the Ken hair more the new look. Yeah he looks more like a surfer beach guy now lol
I think they should bring back M Bison from the dead now that would be crazy lol

If they really want a new lead they need a Ninja like Shinibi. A mystery guy who is a master of fighting. I could get behind a lead like that

I dont think they will add more Ninjas since they already have Ninjas, Vega, Ibuki,Zeku,Kimberly and Guy are Ninjas. I still don't get why they made Luke look like a Paul brother. Jake Paul and Logan Paul are the worst inspiration for characters.

Capcom is loving them blondes because Luke's rival would be Ed, A clone of M.Bison and that is trained by Balrog.


He is only 12 years old but suffers from Rapid aging that's why he looks like an adult. So his mission is to stop his aging.

I am not sure if I like Luke but he is a cheap character, He is so easy to use, his fireball spams is more effective than Hadoukens and Karin players have a hard time with him.



They intentionally made him super beginner friendly. Capcom really want this character to be big. I don't like him though.
