The first problems were encountered in the areas of Milan (around 17.00) in the form of unsent messages, subsequently, the problem began to spread like wildfire along the rest of the peninsula, only to then spread to neighboring states.

Oh no! How will the youth of today cope Facebook seems to quite often (for such a big company) have issues. Granted not normally this long but outages seem to happen more often than with Google, Microsoft, Amazon etc

Well thanks, now I know why my WhatsApp messages are showing undelivered. I can't tell you how many times I've deleted and resent. I've harassed some of my contacts with persistent phone calls advising them to change their network provider. Lol, poor me, a hopeless case. Thanks I will now call with the update and apologies. Even they weren't aware that these systems were just down.

There was a report last night on 60 Minutes about a former Facebook employee/whistleblower, and some people are theorizing that the Facebook blackout is related.

youtube use to censor everything. but they don't anymore. After biden said American media is garbage and indian media is better. Magically a lot of anti biden stuff is viral on youtube. it's not be accident. But it's not fake news people really chanting curse words at biden and protesting against him. But it's strange because they used to censor that kind of news even if it was true months ago.

Facebook will probably beat this case by this whistleblower. I do not like her stand on things. Of course it's all about money. She is a karen who thinks they can control the net. But she forgets there are many more sites besides facebook she can't control. Also she could get sued in a trouble as many documents as she stole. Especially if she signed a contract to not expose company secrets. I am losing money because of her today. I do not care what she thinks. lol she's a karen

Facebook already says you can't monetized any political or religious content if you monetized your page or videos.. so that was already in place. People link to fake news but it's hard to get it all because sites keep changing URLs etc

There was a furor on this in myLot too. But it did not affect me as I hardly go there. I do not even have WhatsApp

I noticed I couldn't get on facebook yesterday for a while and then it was reported there was a problem on the national news. I had some late whatsapp messages but apart from that it didn't affect me.

@MysticMoons they only censor the fun and cool Youtubers but not those political propaganda ones. Because of Youtube and Facebook Propaganda a genocide successfully happened in Myanmar.

You dont know how many times I restarted my phone and Wifi-Router thinking maybe there is a problem with them I must admit this made me realized i seriously need social media detox, I felt like something was missing without them.

Now it is back, I notice that there are less fake news now and supporters of propaganda spreading politicians are complaining they are being sabotaged because of decrease of their fake news.

I read about them on all forums and social media platforms. I did not notice about FaceBook and Instagram as I do not use them though I have an account on FB. But surprisinigly. I did not notice it on WhatsApp. I am very active there.

I read about many complain about ths Down in other Forum, personally i was quite unconfofortable since my gF live in Poland and we use to communicate at night in videocall over Whatsapp-
But sometimes is good to take a pause from social, pesonally i m quite addicted to instagram,because is quite fun and usefull.and spend every day too much time.
I know is no good but i keep make everyday the same mistake over and over

Really this down don't make sense at all. I'im not a fan of suspicius plit, but an Hacker attack is not such a wrong idea.

Having multiple servers is expensive so they put their eggs in one basket. Instagram use to be a competition but facebook purchased the threat before it gets big. Facebook also tried buying Youtube and Twitter but it failed.

So the whistleblower testified and Facebook and it's related went down and nobody has explained how or why that happened.

BUT!! Today is Monday, October 11, 2021, and now there is some NUTJOB who keeps sending me wacky messages.

Mind you. I've been on Facebook since 2009. I rarely have had a problem with that platform for all these years.

But first the whistleblower, then the outage, and now wacky messages.

Should I be paranoid and think these events are conspiratorially connected somehow?

Anybody else getting wacky messages?? Or is just me?

i think now all is ok. i am in italy and i also noticed thats my watsapp was not working for few hours. i didnot use facebook and instagram so i thought only watsapp is down.
