Play to earn games - owners side

Postby mrki444 » 12 Jan 2022, 17:23

Does anybody know how play to earn games earn money for owner?

For start, in play to earn games you can earn money playing it. In future this industry will just grow and nothing else.
I read about diferent types of play to earn games, about options, shareholders, coins, wallets but I don't understand how owner earn money to keep game suinstable.
In those games you don't have ads or banner space which you can rent but still you have expenses of server.
Do they earn from toke in game? How token gets value - only by market or there are some other things?
Does owner use games to access your phone/computer and use it for mining?

Thanks for help. Unfortunately I could not find many informations on Google about this side of games.

You can earn from games if you stream them. Capcom now offers a partnership program to all influencers that plays their games.

There are many ways. Advertisements and in-game currency like you mentioned, and also selling user data. They collect cookies and other stats that they can sell to data companies.

Popular games also have the opportunity to partner with bigger brands which helps them profit and earn. Don't forget all the merchandising as well.

Classic advertisement is those games is very rare. I play Spliterland and Alien Worlds from time to time and I never saw ad there.

I haven't played those games so can't say, but advertising isn't all about seeing ads. Product placement is another way and it's so subtle you might not even notice it.

I just found this information. For every transaction, owner took a fee. Even when it is sold between players outside of game on different marketplaces.

The developer makes money from transaction fee cuts. Every time an NFT changes hands, this means profit for the developer.

Let’s say a royalty fee for a skin NFT is set at 5%.

The original creator (the developer) will make money every time this NFT is sold to another player. Not just the first couple of times, but indefinitely.

Therefore, the developers should make sure to set a profitable fee. Besides this, they should continuously encourage players to transfer these assets.

The owner makes money off advertising and selling things to the members. Do you have an option to buy something to further yourself in the game? That money goes to the owner. Even if it's a dollar from each member, that all builds up so the owner makes money. He's probably only giving half back to the members.

There are Youtubers and Twitch streamers that make money from playing games , but if you are referring to sites which have mini games , they are good but I don't think they earn you much
