Virtual land

Postby mrki444 » 18 Jan 2022, 18:57

Lately virtual lands become very popular. Snop Dog bought it and he create Snoopverse. Somebody bought land next to him for 450 000$.

Many other investors buy virutal land.

I really don't see what is worth there. I would rather buy real land than virtual. Virtual could be only cryptocurrencie.
Can anybody explain what is happening there and why virtual land become so popular? It is just ballon who will burse fast or something long term?

and I thought NFT is complicated. Unless that virtual land is like San Junipero where I can upload my consciousness on my death, I am not sure if its worth my dime.

The concept of Virtual Land looks like just a game.
Imagine someone selling an area as a Virtual Land and then the buyer going there to find it as a Government or some other person's property.
As just a game, it could be interesting though.
