Becoming an Immortal CGI avatar in a vast virtual world sounds awesome. In that new world I will be young forever, I can eat all of my favorite foods without getting fat and I will have the ability to fly.

I don't he will come again on it. Or it is project behind scene until they make some bigger progress. I assume we will se our virtual us in few years. Profile will be made from all data they gather about us - from social media and other platforms using like cookies.

He can't skip science laws. Probably his team told him tech will not be developed fast enough so don't go public with it. Ot it won't be developed during his life. He is 50 years old.

Might be his ambitions are getting more grounded as he is aging up. He is becoming more realistic.

They already succeeded uploading the consciousness of a worm. So yeah this worm is now immortal.



Human consciousness is too big, so they need to make an uploaded space bigger than 2.5 petabytes. In Gigabytes that is 2.5 million gigabytes. That is a single human.

They need a storage space that can fit a whole city with humans. I heard they will try mind upload with rodents next, then the animal will be bigger and bigger.

So it will be one big data centar with entire humanity inside. Maybe a digital Arc? It could be also put in space ship and travel in space.

A building will be enough to store consciousness of a whole village but the digital space will be the problem. Once they succeed making the first human upload, I will volunteer to do it then donate my body to science. I wont need a body anymore if I became a digital being.
