These Taxis have no driver, they are self driving and could cause unemployment to Taxi and Uber drivers.
They will be cheaper than Human driven cars because You wont needing to tip a person. It will also not scam you like a human will do. Also if you are badly drunk, it wont rape you because its a machine and not human. Do you trust these self driving taxis?

In a way I like the idea. I won't have to do small talk, which I hate and I won't feel obligated to leave some big tip to someone who is hard up. But what happens to the taxi drivers then? What jobs do they go and get?

Terrific! In California they need cars with no drivers. Those people have way too much ROAD RAGE!

In New York they need them because cab drivers sometimes discriminate. Lenny Kravitz said he used to get passed up by taxi cab drivers a lot. They would drive past him and pick up a white customer.

At least taxi drivers will not have tolerate drunk people in cars and watch how they threw in it.
They will become cleaners of robotaxi after shift.

Assuming they're not too drunk to call a taxi. If people are going to get drunk they should not go out by themselves.

There are places called capsule hotels and they have sleeping capsules and sleep pods. They are usually available near corporate offices.

In Croatia one company got millions from Europe Union for develpoment of robotaxis. Project should be done in 2024 but many people don't think it will be possible.

Sleep pods have not quite caught on here in the USA. Although "JetBlue recently installed GoSleep pods in its business lounge at JFK's Terminal 5". So far there are 5 US airports that have sleep pods. https://www.onetravel.com/going-places/ ... leep-pods/

Hyundai do same thing on other side of ocean. Robotaxis are on street in South Korea. Taxi service have name RoboRide. But Koreans are little unsecure in this tech so cars will still have human drivers watching from control centar with option to take control.

Nope i do not trust robots, who knows if there is a glitch and it send me off to heaven instead! I prefer human taxi drivers, just dont ride at night. It will be safer.

More than six Cruise robotaxis stopped operating and sat on a street in San Francisco. The robotaxis blocked traffic for a few hours until employees arrived to manually move the autonomous vehicles. This is why you still need drivers.
