3D Printed Ear Transplant

A 20 year old who was born with a small mishaped right ear, has had a 3D printed ear successfully transplanted onto her head. The procedure uses the patient's own cartilage, which regenerates over time and makes the ear look and feel more natural.

As it is from the patient's own body, it will likely not get rejected by the body. Any progress in biomedical engineering always is exciting as many people lose their body parts worldwide everyday due to accidents and need to "deal with it" in an imperfect way

No doubt 3D printing is helpful in making new organs like livers, kidney and many more
