Microsoft announced that Internet explorer is dead for Good and it will be replaced by Microsoft Edge.Older computers with Explorer will not have access to it because it will be shutdown. There is even a grave stone for the dead browser.




It use to be the Number Browser but when Firefox and Google Chrome arrived, People left it for dead.

It will stay with us. No matter how bad was, even latest version were very good, it was first webrowser and show us Internet and it's possibilty.

Most quirkiest among browsers back in the decade and was a source of lot of headaches for web designers and developers.

I think later someone might revive this browser as a legacy by somehow getting hands on the setup files.

I quit using explorer because its so slow and its a virus magnet. I never had a virus infection since I quit using it.

Man, it's about time they put that clunky browser to rest. I mean I can't believe they finally did because a lot of people seem hooked on it but man what a headache when you're trying to design a website or do research for an article or paper online and it crashes 500 times. And it was such a virus magnet. I haven't used Internet Explorer since Windows Vista was a thing if you can remember that, lol. It had a good run but it had to end. RIP Internet Explorer, time for you to head to a much-needed rest.

I have not used internet explorer in years. I still have a windows 96 computer in the closet and that is where it stays. I only use it for some offline games when I feel like reliving the 90s video games. I use google chrome for my browser

Not true, but if it was who cares? It is a spin-off of Google Chrome and I can even download apps from the Chrome Store and use them with no modifications.

I have to say,I had totally forgotten that there is internet explore. I long parted ways with it. When I used it t was too slow to a point where it got Soo frustrating. But the main reason I finally kicked to the curb was when I found out that it is targeted by hackers a lot, I found that really bad. It really shows that itbwas not a secure place to be.

Internet Explorer played a role in one of my jobs. It was about ten years ago. I programmed browser UI. One of the tasks was the ability of UI to work in browsers of all manufacturers. UI displays a huge table of goods. About 8000 items. Table had to be on one page. No pagination. That was a requirement. UI was a part of b2b system. Wholesale customers simply copied the table into Excwl sheet and then selected goods they need. The problem about all of that was that goods table loads very quickly in all browsers except IE. I fight with it a long time but there was nothing I can do. That hude table simply loaded slow as html. Changes to div markup type did not help.

I think that one can still use IE but not expect any support from Microsoft.
Of course, preferable ones are now Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Firefox.

I install Windows 8.1 and guess who is there? Internet Explorer. Old edition but still work.

My experience using the internet explorer browser was so good. However I accept that change and move on.

At least we have Chrome. Sadly that experience might also come to an end.

Internet explorer.is too slow to load a website and kept habing problems with sap program. Time to rest for ie
