I did the same thing to my Desktop and it does everything faster now, especially bootup.

Did you migrate your OS to the SSD? I like the performance of SSD but cost is a little bit high even for 250 GB
Absolutely and it makes using my computer more enjoyable. If you keep a sharp eye open, there are lots of sales that bring the price down to a more comfortable level and if you just use it for your OS and most used programs, 250GB is large enough for most people.
