Google Stadia is a failure

Postby Netherrealmer » 06 Oct 2022, 05:38

Google is shutting down stadia. Stadia is the Gaming Cloud service that lets you play Current Gen Triple A mainstream games without downloading them. It's like a Netflix of Games. It failed because its market are people with fast internet connection. Stadia is terrible if you played multiplayer. So they are shutting it down. Netflix and Amazon just launched their cloud gaming service, so they will gain the players Google had lost.

Base on my experience with Stadia, it works well with single player games but its laggy with multiplayer. Multiplayer is still better if the game is installed in your hard disk.

Unfortunately for Stadia, Xbox and PS are still main players on market. Also most developers from that niche develop games for this platform. Later they send something on Stadia. But nobody want wait for a game.

Stadia was very costly as it was. The Netflix's and Amazon the better alternative so far
