Are you using Windows 10 or 11?

Postby Starry » 25 Jan 2023, 09:53

I am using Windows 10. Recently, Microsoft keeps on reminding me to upgrade to Windows 11. I'm comfortable using Windows 10 and don't see the need to upgrade.
Are you using Windows 11? Can you share your experience?

My new computer has Windows 11, but I can't say I am really using it yet.

I ma still on Windows 10. My computer don't support Windows 11, not personal or work. I will try install 11 on my personal computer. Even I don't have it, I have experience with 11. Some my colleagues have new computers and they already install it. I did some fix with volume.

There are enough people uncomfortable with the switch to Windows 11 that I am seeing a lot of promos for Linux distributions that cater to Windows users that don't have the resources to switch to Windows 11 and can't afford new hardware.

Even Microsoft allowed patch for TPM check bypass and processor check bypass for older computers. But your system is not stabile in that case and you don't receive all updates. Otherwise even more people will go to Linux distributions.

Microsoft has been actively promoting its latest operating system, Windows 11, to users of Windows 10. While there are certainly benefits to upgrading, such as improved performance, better security features, and new functionalities, it's understandable that you might prefer to stick with Windows 10 if you're comfortable with it and it meets your needs.

Windows 10. I am getting many notifications to upgrade to Windows 11, but still not fully comfortable as I have many work related softwares that I am not sure would be compatibile with Windows 11.

[Tweet][/Tweet] :ugeek: Windows 11 is the newest version of Windows, and it’s one of the best Windows versions released. Under the hood, though, it’s very similar to Windows 10. We’ve compared Windows 11 and Windows 10 point for point in order to answer one question: Should you upgrade to the latest Windows OS?

I am so far behind in the PC world. I don't even know that Windows 11 has been released.

At one time I can remember Microsoft probably said that Windows 10 would be the last version of Windows and that in the future, there would be improvements and patches on top of that

I was not even aware that Window 11 is out there. I thought that Windows 10 is the latest one. I am using Google Chrome.

Uninstalling and reinstalling programs are a chore, one of the reasons why I feel lethargic to upgrade.
